The Selfish Future

When I think of the future of our society, I think about equality. But how we are obtaining it scares me a bit.
We are becoming even more selfish than we used to be. We care more about our careers, our dreams, ours own pleasures than we think about others. And this is both good and bad, for it is in the nature of humans to be selfish, and little by little we are learning to embrace this part of us, this part that allows us to love ourselves above everything. But if we do, will there still be room for mercy, pity, remorse… Love?
Women are opting to not have children more often now, and while i dont think thats a bad thing, for I also do not wish to raise any kids, it does worry me.
And theres so many tangled and mixed feelings i have about today and what’ll be of tomorrow, thats its too much and too hard to put in words.
The future holds a bright tomorrow. But theres always shadows where theres light which in this case i would call selfishness.
Which, sadly, i suffer from as well.

Sometimes the only reason I leave my house is so when someone asks about my day I don’t have to say “Netflix and avoiding responsibilities”

Stealing, of course, is a crime, and a very impolite thing to do. But like most impolite things, it is excusable under certain circumstances. Stealing is not excusable if, for instance, you are in a museum and you decide that a certain painting would look better in your house, and you simply grab the painting and take it there. But if you were very, very hungry, and you had no way of obtaining money, it might be excusable to grab the painting, take it to your house, and eat it.
